Surya Kriya Now in Dublin!

After the success of our first Isha Hatha Yoga programme in Ireland last year, we are delighted to announce our next programme in Ireland taking place in Dublin. We'll be once again offering the sacred yogic practice of Surya Kriya in a weekend workshop. If you missed out last time, then this is an opportunity to join and learn this immersive practice.

What is Surya Kriya?

Watch a video of Sadhguru (founder of Isha Yoga) speaking about Surya Kriya

Surya Kriya is a 21-step yogic practice that was traditionally only available to a select groups of yogis. As part of Isha Hatha Yoga, this forgotten practice is now being made available to all out of a desire for more people to experience this powerful process from the yogic tradition. This has been made possible through comprehensively training teachers to create the necessary learning environment that enables the recipient to learn the practice  with the necessary involvement and awareness. This 6 hour workshop offers everyone the opportunity to receive a complete spiritual practice that is ideal for the hectic pace of today’s world.

Benefits include:

  • Improved mental clarity, focus and awareness
  • Feeling uplifted and sense of calmness
  • Offers relief from chronic back and neck pain, tones the body
  • Boosts vigor and vitality (more energy)
  • Balances hormonal levels in the body
  • Prepares one for deeper states of meditation

Booking Procedure

As the last programme was sold out do book in advance to avoid disappointment. Here is an extract of an email received from a participant from the previous course in Ireland:

"…thank you for such a remarkable experience. It has been a very powerful process …I think the most noticeable change was happiness. My baseline level of happiness is much higher. Sometimes I feel an intense happiness for no reason at all! You know how sometimes you can be excited or ecstatic when something wonderful was about to happen, or had just happened? It was just like that …I was just sitting there, feeling blissful.  …I kept coming back to my practice for that. It filled every cell in my body." -Malavika

The cost of the whole 6 hour workshop is €130 (plus booking fee). To book your place for Surya Kriya please click the link below and proceed to the booking page:

More About Surya Kriya and Difference from Surya Namaskar

Up until now, Surya Namaskar (sun salutation) was publicly offered. When those who knew the practice saw a need to help the masses, they could not offer Surya Kriya in its most potent form. So they taught Surya Namaskar, which is a practice derived from Surya Kriya that has less potency spiritually but can still offer the benefits of balancing the system.

“Surya” means “sun,” and “kriya” means “inner energy process.” Surya Kriya activates the solar plexus to raise the samat prana, or solar heat, in the system. It also balances a person’s left and right energy channels, leading to stability of the body and stillness of the mind.
