What are Yogasanas and What They Are Not

Yogasanas are the more commonly known ‘Yoga Postures’. When we mention the word ‘Yoga’ most people immediately think of Yogasanas. Unfortunately, this has been misinterpreted by many as stretching or other exercises. It has lost touch with its original purpose and possibility of transforming the individual to reach their true potential.

Through Isha Hatha Yoga we are able to offer Yogasanas in its classical form where it can be used to help one elevate themselves beyond their present state of mind and body to live life effortlessly.

In an untrained state, the human body is a constant manifestation of various levels of compulsive behaviours. By consciously forming the body into a certain posture, one creates a conducive passage for the energy to flow in ways that can heightens one’s awareness.

Overall there are 84 basic Yogasanas through which one can do this, however, Sadhguru says that even if you were able to master one asana completely, then everything that is worth knowing in this world can be known.

“When we say 84 asanas, do not think of them as just 84 postures. These are 84 systems, 84 ways of attaining. Out of this, if you have mastery over even a single yogasana, everything that is worth knowing in the existence can be known.” - Sadhguru

What is Unique About this Yogasana Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn a carefully selected sequence (brought to you through Sadhguru’s wisdom) of Yogasanas which offer you a complete physical and spiritual practice for ultimate well-being. All the Yogasanas are offered through a delicate process with the necessary environment created for one to start getting in touch with the subtler aspects of the Yoga. When yoga is transmitted in this way the possibility of experiencing it beyond a posture becomes available, therefore leading you towards a more pleasant and joyful existence.

"There are various levels of doing asanas. You can practice asanas just physically, or more deeply, being aware of the breath, sensations, reverberations..." - Sadhguru

Sadhguru (Founder of Isha Hatha Yoga) speaks about Yogasanas

We will be offering this workshop at Soul Studio Yoga in Ruislip West London. Soul Studio Yoga have been very eager to offer Isha Hatha Yoga there and we have formed a close relationship with them to offer you the best possible experience. It will be our first time here but we will be hoping to offer many more classes and workshops in future. Soul Studio has its own car park so there is guaranteed free parking and connected through various routes of public transport. We can also possibly pool people together for travel if possible and given sufficient notice.

Donating to a Local Homeless Charity

As mentioned above we will be donating 10% of each registration to local charity tackling homelessness on the streets of London. With the temperatures dropping and number of homelessness rising around London, many people are faced with being at risk this winter. That is why we will be donating the money to 'All People All Places', a fantastic local charity who are managing to make a real impact. They operate 13 shelters during winter in London all run by volunteers. They also run 3 drop-in centres to provide support such as mentoring, well-being and referral to other services. They have a remarkable 70% tenancy rate meaning they are able to find housing for most of their clients. If you wish to find out more about All People All Places you can visit their website here http://allpeopleallplaces.org

Price: £160 (plus booking fee) 10% of the price will be donated to charity
